Guys stop telling lies. Cover download WORKS!!! You just need to unluck. I just tested it and it works. It also works if you put to your config.txt godmode = 1

it is not a lie, i did few tests, took me 3 restarts of the loader before i could activate the download function.
stranges but true.. :-(

it works if you unlock or set godmode = 1 !!
i testet it now at 2 wii´s and it really works!!

Guys stop talking nonesense. You must be entering the wrong password. It WORKS WITH BOTH UNLOCK AND GODMODE. I just tested it.

Okay, nice loader, but ARGH! It's a bit too confusing! 212 pages with people messing (in the good meaning) with codes are a bit too much for me, and I find myself a bit lost.

I understand that:
a. the rXXX.dol is the boot.dol you put on SDcard to load from HBC
b. you can't make a channel, just a forwarder (I don't know the difference)
c. you have to change the .txt file to change the theme of the loader

Am I right?

b. we choose forwarder as it loads the boot.dol at your card and you don't have to update your channel again and again and again
c. you have the option to set a theme at the SD:\config\config.txt by adding the lines

theme_path = SD:\your\theme\
wtheme_path = SD:\your\theme\

the first one is for 4:3 and the second one for 16:9

i'm compiling with an atom (slow) 266. soon

Just one more question:
If I make a channel (wad) from the dol, will it be able to do all those stuff, like downloading cover, adding themes and all?

I've heard the newest version of IOS222 (beta 4?) might include a fix attempt for people who's hard drives go to sleep while they're playing, but no one would really know that for sure until it's out and supported by the launchers. But then if it works it's just as likely to be included in the next cIOS36 revision, so I guess I'm still not seeing a compelling reason to install.

Hermes´ IOS222 lets you plug/unplug an USB device without crashes.

I only can play Mario Galaxy with 222 cause 249 freezes mi console when the HDD go into sleep mode.

Hermes did it, and Waninkoko will include this features in the next rev11

yeah that`s a great thing, preloader is missing one feature though, it cant boot to the guiloader after you choose
return to menu in game.

yes but you will need an SD card of course. Better not to make an a channel until a non-alpha version is out.

The forwarders here usually ask for the dol to be under apps\usbloader\boot.dol

Note to my self: I should check them again and upload one at the site.

dimok atm we are not able to change all png´s in the loader with a theme, but are we able to put other png´s in the source and compile with them?
or will we get errors?

you can put whatever png images to the source but their size should be devided 2 or 4.

Yes it will work if you add it to the source/images/ folder and compile.


But why arent the themes working? i though they do.
