Not to sound like I'm rushing you guys, but what's the deal with auto downloading covers/discs? I think it would save people alot of headache with all the disc packs coming out right now, is it hard to code or something? Just wandering, this is the next biggest thing I want implemented. Once again, no rush, but MAFIA has been turning new revisions out fast.

I just tested the GuiUSBLoader r98 dol & wad and the the pic of the + button doesnt work when i press A , should it work

can someone test the game: EMERGENCY MAYHEM ( REGE36 ) , the game don't work with r98 . I try with a dvd in drive, patch ...... this is a bug or due to the loader?
thanks guys :-)

I think you need to put in that code, which I think is more trouble than it should be, aren't warning windows enough?

You must insert the correct password AB121B (with CAPS) in the lock sections to enable + button.

New r99

What about theotherzone? Can we upload the disc images to there?

Just found two bugs. The first one is minor and easy to fix, after you lock it, a window pops up telling you it's locked, then there are two buttons, one says "OK" and the other says nothing. The next bug is kinda big, after hitting ok when I locked it, I went back to the main screen, clicked on a game and it froze. The game I clicked was Wii Music by the way, if that's needed.

I have been working on a script for the discart : Just posted this (im waiting on someone to rename the 600x600 size images for good qualityand ill upload them)
They are all in the 3 digit format.

I have written the script for the boxart site that lets you resize discart to any size you want from whatever size the image is.

The reason i have done this is because people want to upload images at high quality 600x600 in case someone actually wants a high quality image.
The default is 160x160 unless you specify and it checks the image size itself and resizes based on the original image size.
If the image doesnt exist it it gives a no disc image to stop the loaders from crashing.

for size , put with and height after it

I might have found another bug? This happen to anyone else..?

If I press the power button on my wiimote to turn off the wii instead of clicking the little button in the GUI then it looks like it shuts down and it sounds like it shut down but the green power light is still on the wii and I can see my thumb drive that Im using for games is still lit up.

If I hold the power button on the actual wii console then it finally shuts down correctly and the red light turns on.

great stuff djtaz the list i have posted with missing arts is dwindling down thanks to djbubba converting them they are all the same style as well just for consistancy ect...

we will add about 30 more soon

This video is not yet processed.

Yeah - the list you had had the images at 160x160 though and im going to try to upload at 600x600 in case people want larger images at some stage.

djtaz's he uploded all the disc images (well the custom pack that was made), and if anyone doesn't want custom images they can put auto dowload off untill the orignal disc images are upped to a database when they are resized and transperantized

EDIT: thanks djtaz that new images/script looks much better(quality) than the other ones you had up(pre 160x160)

Im not sure if you have your loader set to auto download boxart , but if you have I have recoded my boxart images site so that if your getting images you can download any size now by doing it this way.

www.theotherzone.com/wii/resize/ {region} / {width} / {height} / { GAMEID} .png

example : http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/resize/nts.../600/RJ2E52.png

so now any height/weight is available and should help all people making auto loaders

Oh hell yeah. This is great djtaz. Thank you i am sure we will implement this. But right now i am busy with school so...nIxx will probably do it
wink.gif
.

But one question does the {region} hast to be there too? since the region is also in the GameID.
It also would safe two lines of code if this goes out lol
wink.gif
. Cover problem is solved with this.

Awesome would be now if we could get the disc images somewhere.

No, there is no reason for him to have the region in there, I was just lazy when I coded the first version. His edit is based directly off of my work that I did for him. I have now gone in and fixed his work so that it auto-detects whether you have included the region or not, completely ignores whatever you have put in the region space even if you filled it in, and serves up the correct image based on the game ID. This is the code:

CODE

The code requires that a .htaccess file be present in the same directory or higher with the following:

CODE
ÂÂÂÂForceType application/x-httpd-php

As you can see, the PHP file is called "resize" without any extension, making it appear as a folder.

I could try to work on a section for the disc images.
Unfortunately , the way the site is built at present it works on different folders for images to keep them seperate for pal ntsc and ntscj

Your two lines of code would be about 2,000 lines of code changes on the site to get it working without the regions, so for now thats there to stay unless i totally redesign the site - and this will get complaints from other coders who now depend on this structure.

To be honest, the files do no need to be separated other than to make it easier on humans. As you can see in my code, you can determine which region a file is from based on the name. Since you are just using a flatfile system, it wouldn't matter if you had them all in the same folder other than being even more slow.

Ideally, there would be a database with proper sorting, etc., but right now having something working is what's important.

On a side note, I've found that http://www.teambadattitude.co.uk/art/wii/ is excellent for snagging high quality, high resolution, wide variance, official imagery for covers and disks in order to convert and upload for our project.

Anyway, if you have any more ideas, let me know.
