Cyan I am currently on R1244 why doesn't the update feature work? I can update the language files and WiiTDB.xml but USB Loader GX says there's no update

It's not on googlecode yet. There's a link to the latest revision in Cyan's signature.

I'm currently adding neek2o (and neek will work too, just without autoboot, it will only launches the system menu).
channels launching is working.
I'm working on adding better settings and functions.

This sounds great Cyan! Thanks for your continued work on this project.

Pre release would be awesome cyan! As long as it can boot emunand channels im super fine! I can always restart the wii to switch games until you get the return to function working! It has all the necessary essentials for a release, especially if it can totally boot channels!

I push the update internally when I have users who tested the new features and says it's stable, or there's no issue reports.
I can't contact end users, and don't want to break anything for them. so "beta" are available only to users who know how to find new release (here) and can test and can report issues.

I also push internal release on important fixes (nintendont not working anymore for example).
And as nintendont recently changed its update URL, I will have to push a new version publicly soon. but not sure if SSL download will work..

Cyan I'm tempted to test out this Neek2O version, does it require to reinstall EmuNAND again and reinstall all games and saves or can I just use my EmuNAND that I have on USB with it? Also does Neek2O fix the use of cheat codes with EmuNAND?

The latest r1246 seems to be displaying some (not all) of the same issues that the earlier revisions with DS3 controller support also displayed. Specifically, forgetting custom game titles.

This isn't a big deal - I disabled reading game titles from gametdb and renamed my games manually as I like them (I dislike the naming of a couple of games on the gametdb) and everything works again. Just something to be aware of, maybe we're in danger of running out of memory again.

I have the USB_Loader_GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT_vWii_(Fix).wad forwarder installed and the video corruption bug still happens from time to time.
Is this a known issue?

Another question regarding wiitdb.xml:
I made a clean install and can´t download the xml.
"Error: Cannot write to destination" and "WiiTDB.xml is up to date.", but the file is not there.
When I download the file manually and click on Details of a game I get "Error: Could not open wiitdb.xml".
Features -> Titles from GameTDB is set to ON.

I´m using r1244 tabmod.

you can use Wii Backup Manager to download it or http://www.gametdb.com/Wii/Downloads

I've edited my xml for certain games like The Conduit 2, for example it's title in the xml is "Conduit 2" but the actual series title is "The Conduit" So Conduit 2 is an incorrect title so renaming to "The Conduit 2" works best it also places both the first game and it's sequel next to each other, which I find works out best in the long run

Yes, it's a big deal !
if 1246 has the same issue it means you risk losing your partition !
thanks for reporting. that's why I don't push new release to all he world without tests and reports.

Is that only the names, or also inconsistency in menus and other missing or corrupted text?
if you see anything not normal, do not use it and report it :(

The video corruption is a known issue, and has nothing to do with the forwarder. it can happen with other homebew, even launched from HBC.

Another question regarding wiitdb.xml:
"Error: Cannot write to destination"
Maybe an issue with the site? or your "destination".
go to settings, edit the path to "Titles folder". it used to be on usbloader_gx/ path, I moved it recently to /titles/ subfolder.

As requested, here is a limited neek2o preview :)
USBLoaderGX_r1246Mod04 (sneek+preview)
but attention, if like sj33 reported r1246 is really instable, maybe you better not use it with your usual setup. Make proper backups !!

Refer to my blog to see what's working or not
Read the .txt file inside the zip to learn how to setup, how it works and what to report.
And please, PLEASE, you are testing it, you are beta tester, act as beta tester : do reports!
If I don't know if it works or not, it's not helpful for me. at least, just tell me it works.
Thank you

Ps: I'm not responsible if users continue to use beta version for months and get issues with it. beta are unfinished product, not meant as stable permanent release. update as soon as there's another release. thanks.
if you think releasing the link to your community/own website/end user all over the world is a good idea, it's not. I prefer keeping beta close to people who can report issues.

Me too. A couple of us reported that some time ago...
*EDIT* Meaning, the video corruption issues.
I would very much like to find out what is causing that...

If it happens with other homebrew couldn't it be a vWii issue that may never get fixed or possbly be an issue with the homebrew channel and the vWii?

Either of those are possible.
But I don't recall it happening with say, retro-arch or any other emulator so I don't know...
AFAIK it only happens sometimes when I launch GX.

Joostin reported it when launching Nswitch to go to sneek vWii.
it's near the end page of the vWii sneek thread. or mayb it's not the same issue, it's hard to explain what we see.

based on all user's report, it happen only on NTSC consoles. Maybe something to do with resolution, width/height/watever the video mode is set to use.
