Hacking USB Loader GX

Ok I wanted to change the tips on sd card and home menu. I was able to changes these with out problems, however I do not want to change them every time I update. So if I let the team know what changes I made if you could add it to the loader. First to change the text I went to source/language/language.c and chanced Back to HBC or Wii menu to Home Menu. and changed Reload SD to Reload SD/HD. Next I moved the tips on the home menu button. I went to source/menu.cpp and changed GuiButton homeBtn(&homeBtnImg,&homeBtnImgOver, 0, 3, THEME.home_x, THEME.home_y, &trigA, &btnSoundOver, &btnClick,1,&homeBtnTT15,-30,1,5); to GuiButton homeBtn(&homeBtnImg,&homeBtnImgOver, 0, 3, THEME.home_x, THEME.home_y, &trigA, &btnSoundOver, &btnClick,1,&homeBtnTT,-65,-30,1,5); on line 323. Thanks for any help. I am going to try and add tips to the othere buttons. But let me know if someone is already working on this, because I don't mind waiting.

PS The changes I made where from rev514. So the new rev515 will have different lines so it might not be line 323 anymore.

...can we have the function, that the wii-LED only blinks up, when the installation of a Game is finish, or only during the instalation, and when the installation is finished, the wii-LED is off ?

At first the loader did have that function. Light off during install, light on when finished.
But somewhere in the long list of revisions, that function got dropped.

can we have that function back ???

old hermes 222 which was compatible, Waninkoko's cIOS38 v13b plus anything else that worth the space

You can also grab the now outdated pack of Version 1.0 for the icon and meta file.AND

People who cant load the loader or having some troubles
they should try to use .ELF
since .ELF is a lot more accurate in processing code​

forwarder updated to the new version. pack included now the boot.dol for preloader too. included rev516 for the forwarder...

So I am using CiOS rev12 and it was working great until the last few revisions. Like since 514 I think. Now when I try to load a game it says 'an error has occurred. Please remove the game disc and restart your Wii' ...does this loader only support Rev 13 now?


(I just rolled back to r511 and it is working fine)

Hi all, i get a DSI with the new loader that runs from Preloader just after the pic comes up i am on 4e, ciso v10, and run from usb if that is of any help will try and get pic up asap

Everytime I try to start each game, the Loader goes to a black screen and stops.

From what I have read on the last twenty pages or so you have to use rev13 (not b) and set the 002 mode on in the game settings. But I have not tried it....

yes for indiana jones and grand slam tennis and ghostbusters and probably all the new up coming games you need cios13 and 002 fix enabled

Innovative1 was faster and he´s right indie works with cios r13 and 002 fix (only the "fate of atlantis" in the extra menu dont work uget an ios reload.... )

Wow I was going to say that 511 works and 512 plus dose not but I gess I could have just read that. Well I am using cios12 and diseys thank fast is saying this error. Along with some othere games but some gams are fine. Hope this gets fixed soon. I will let you know if I find any thing else out.

Okay... I got Indy working with cIOS rev13a, with the Error 002 fix "ON".
Ghostbusters, however, required cIOS rev13a, Error 002 fix "ON", AND the Video Mode set to "Autopatch"!

I have been playing Grand Slam Tennis on rev12 without 002 enabled and it works fine.

Well thanks guys. I don't know what happen. I was able to install 13a with it not effecting my cioscorp. So i can use my USB and still play disc through Disc Channel. Thanks alot! Now I have to go in a fix up this new loader.

updated the channels:

fullchannel based now on rev516

forwarder updated to the new version. pack included now the boot.dol for preloader too. included rev516 for the forwarder...

This forwarder gives a code dump after the splash screen. Tested different revisions: first installed the forwarder when I was on 512 I think, was going to update to 516 after loading in. Since it code dumped, I loaded it via HBC, did the online update, tried the forwarder again and still code dump. Didn't matter of SD card was in or not. Running the loader off of USB drive.

Went back to the old forwarder, works well again - and for some reason I now no longer have the graphical glitches when the SD card is inserted... Hmm...

I'm on cIOSrev13, and have some Hermes' cIOS installed in 222, 202 and 223 (not being used by UsbLoaderGX at all)

Thanks so much to everyone who works on this great loader. It still always has me in awe every time I load it how intuitive and fun it is to look through and select my game through the carousel view. And it's amazing how much work you guys put into this. I check your site every single day to see what new features and bug fixes you put into it. USB Loader GX is incredible.
