Hacking USB Loader GX

Gotta say, I like the new loader but it's not 2 seconds to load the boot.dol. It's 2 seconds before the Loader_GX graphics comes up. Still takes 7 to 8 seconds to load. That said, I like the look of it much better than the old loader.

It loaded mine in about two seconds. Definitely like 2-3x faster. Not sure what your issue is. I am on 4.0u with CiOS36rev10 if that makes any difference.

Same here, however I find that installing the channel IS far faster than the forwarder. However I just upgraded from the 409 to 433 and noticed that there is now a loading graphic (nice) but the background will load first and 1 -2 seconds later the interface comes up. It used to not do this. Just letting you know. Personally I would rather still see back than a background and no interface.

Is there a grid with coordinates or something available to make things like this easier to do?

new channel i believe need to remove old one first.

How often does that change? Has it ever since 1.0 (or maybe earlier)? It's not like it's rev-dependent.

Installed cIOS38 rev12 (new 249) and now loader would not work anymore. Anyone else?

Update: works but has to be in USB1 and other devices in usb2.

I believe I found a problem with the latest release r437.

I have cIOS rev 12 and was testing if de Blob (PAL) would work without a disk inserted.
With the latest revision of de loader r437 it did not (Black Screen).

Then I tried an older revision r395 that for me was a very stable release and it starts without any problems.

After that I restored the latest revison and played around with some settings (I forced PAL50 and turned on the vidpatch) and then it also starts without a problem.

I did some more test on games and also found the same issue with Wall-E (PAL).

Edit:
Also tested the games on the original Waniko 1.5 loader and they work without a problem.

Some additinal testing shows that the issue was introduced between r427 and r432.
r427 works properly while r432 shows the balck screen. I hope this helps.
