Hello,

I modded my WiiU with the latest version of Aroma using 32GB SANDISK SDHC card, and I have a 1TB HDD w/ a y-cable filled with games.

Furthermore, I did the entire homebrew process in Vwii. I had everything working perfectly in the vWii part of my Wii U (homebrew, wiiflow, usb loader gx, and nintendont).

As I mentioned I was only using a 32GB SDHC, I went ahead and purchased a "SANDISK Extreme Pro SDXC 200MB/s" and went ahead and formatted the new card to FAT32.

Now when I go to USB Loader GX, it's like the new SD card is not there. It says 0gb of 0gb avail. However, the Wii U is reading the new SD card. Nintendont works fine off the same new card USB Loader GX does not want to play ball.

I've tried formatting the new SD card several times to the correct format. Still no dice. Furthermore, if I'm using the new SD card and try to alter any of the setting in USB LOADER GX, I get an error message.

I've tried removing USB LOADER GX from the new SD and reinstalling it, no dice. I went through the CIOS process again. No dice.

I feel like I'm doing something really stupid or the new SD card isn't compatible for whatever reason w/ usb loader gx. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also wanted to mention, wiiflow just crashes now, does not load. But, if I'm in the vWii part and but the old 32GB card in my wii games work magically.

Very frustrating.

Hello,

Does your PC read your SD correctly?

is your SD card in MBR partition table?

is the small "lock" on the side of the SD not write-blocked?

Yes.

I used my PC to create the SD card.

No, the card is not write protected.

As I mentioned in my post. My wii U reads the card. Nintendont works fine. Retroarch reads roms off the SD.

The only thing that does not work post SD card upgrade is USB Loader GX.

I have a new SD card coming in the mail. I'm going to try it, and post the results with what I used.

I found this following my very recent experience with a refurbished Wii U and having also followed all the process to hack it via Aroma:

In order to let the Homebrew App Store correctly install apps in your SD Card, first remove any connected USB device (disc or key), or this will fail evenif the App Store completed the install.

In order to let WUDD disc dump tool to correctly dump a disc, also remove any connected USB device (disc or key). When failing, the folder \wudump\ in your SD Card root is empty.

Pay attention not to put the SD Card in your PC, after having done the first preparation of your card in your PC and then having used it in your Wii U with the Homebrew App Store or WUDD, or may some \wiiu\apps\ installed apps and \wudump\ dumped discs be empty in the SD Card. It can be due to SD Cards of bigger size than 32 GB, that is the standard size that Windows proposes when formatting it in FAT32. For bigger sizes, Windows proposes exFAT format.
