Hacking USB Loader GX - Wiilight setting?

What does the Wiilight setting do? I turned it on & off, couldn't see what it did?

it's on, off or only for install

the wii drive light will be on, off when playing games or only on when you install a game to hard drive from disk

Thanks. "On" means on when? All the time? Just in GX menu? During game?

I think it's during game cause I only use the on for install option

So I can start ripping a game flick the tv channel watch cable tv till the light goes off and I know the game has finished installing
