Hacking USB Loader GX Black Screen When Loading Games

Hello,

I have hacked several Wii systems before, but I seem to be having a problem with one today.

I installed cIOS38r17 and I have USB Loader GX configured to use IOS 249.

USB Loader recognizes my hard drive, the games are listed, but when loading a game the screen just goes black and the wii system must be shutdown and restarted.

Has anyone seen this before?

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

What is the format on the HDD? WBFS, FAT32, or NTSF?

Edit: Have you tried a number of games? Also what gx version?

The hard drive format is FAT32 and the games work on another wii.

I am using gx version r921, and I have tried many different games (that do work on another wii system)

Additional Information:

I have tried reinstalling cIOS38r17 and it didn't help.

I am able to successfully run wiiware games via the USB hard drive using Triiforce.

I understand, with FAT32 partitioned drives, you will need to use a Hermes CIOS. USBloader gx rev 921 says it is Hermes rev 5 compatible, but it still does not work for me. Cfg loader with Hermes Rev 5 CIOS 222 works perfect for me with loading FAT32 partitions
