Ok, this may or may not be simple depending on your skills but I'm going to request it anyway.
I'm looking for a FULLY working, with quick boot time USBLoader forwarder to use at the start of Preloader, this should point to "SD:\apps\usbloader_gx\boot.dol".

If you do this, I'll be forever grateful.

Thank you.

looking for exactly the same thing!
after a long search, i now have a sort of working one. it points to \apps\usbloader\boot.dol
startup time is fast, no crashing during first boot. But i've set up preloader to return to the autoboot file after exiting a game. and then it does crash sometimes. So I'm looking for a better one now..

Does anyone know where I can get the source code for a forwarder? I would like to play around with it a little.

EDIT: Oops was kind enough to PM me some links incase any one else is interested.

Sources: Elf/Dol Forwarder for Custom Channels

Elf/Dol Forwarder for specific apps: Download (use this to compile your own forwarders for specific apps)
Elf/Dol Forwarder General: Download
Media Forwarder: Download (five buttons on Wiimotes configurable)
Emulator Forwarder: Download (eight buttons on Wiimotes configurable)
Tools Forwarder: Download (four buttons on Wiimotes configurable)

My libogc directory: Download

Last bump then I'm giving up.

P.S.: I'm sure a lot of people would love this, SO MAKE IT HAPPEN

sorry for the stupid question, but you are asking for a channel (wad) which is a forwarder to usbloader_gx/boot.dol or just a dol file pointing to the app, to be injected in a (custom) wad?

I am working a bit on forwarders and channels, so if I understand better your request maybe I can help!

why dont u just boot the usbloader.dol with preloader, then u dont need a forewarder, the forearder is just used for the system menu as a channel so u dont have to go thru the hbc

People don't use the forwarder because they don't want to go through the HBC... they use it because they won't bother updating their channel every time a revision of the USB Loader is made (which is pretty much ever 4 hours).
