i thought the usb loader could already do that? i can play ntsc games on my pal wii through it...or is it cos i have a chip?

With the crap cable or component cable and a pal tv you are fine as most pal tvs support both pal and ntsc. But with an rgb cable you get a red screen with NTSC games, if not your tv doesn't recognize that a rgb cable is connected(and you don't have the advancements from rgb).

The video quality is really better with an rgb cable, if you have seen the difference you know exactly what i mean.

So What .dol is injected in this channel now? Just a force NTSC .dol or the .dol i made with really patching the video mode? Or something else?

a component cable? yes i have and i have 1.

There are 3 different kinds of cables: Crap cables(like the one you got with your Wii), better cables for sdtvs, for PAL rgb(with red screen on ntsc), for NTSC s-video(don't know more than it exists about it), and component cables for hdtvs.

composite sucks, rgb is next, component is best (480p)

I've been trying to install the WAD of the NTSC version and keep getting errors! I've tried to download the WAD multiple times to make sure it's not a bad download and still no luck. I'm running menu 4 (hacked) and wad manager 1.3. I was able to install the usb loader 1.0 WAD so I know my manager isn't broken.. :-/

Edit: Nevermind. I think it was conflicting with a past WAD. I "uninstalled it" and reinstalled it and it works fine.

I had this error before. Try uninstalling the other usb loader wads using the Wad Manager and then try to reinstall the wad again. Thats what I did and it worked for me!

The NTSC games still load up all red

I didn't get to test out the PAL one because I have an NTSC system. I got the dol files from WiiPower to create the wads from here:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144...p;#entry1866485

He might be able to help you out.

I've made a wad for this, but I'm not 100% sure on how to make them so I havent installed it, from fear of bricking my system. How did you make yours?

I could make it, upload it and send the link?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
