Weird, I am only having trouble with Wario Shake It (dumped from retail copy) and it worked fine on 1.0.

Brief flash to green, then black, LEDs on Wiimote go off, then come back on with the reinit sound, screen stays black.

I retried this multiple times from cold boots, same result.

Sidenote: Does it really matter what side the USB device is connected? Everything seems to work fine from either of them in my experience.

I dumped Smash Brothers onto my hdd using the windows based tool, it booted fine but as soon as I tried to go into the menu it white screened. Reports say it should work, am I doing anything wrong?
I am on PAL 4.0 and Smash Brothers is NTSC

I have PAL 3.2 and Brawl NTSC WiiZARD release works fine for me.
First I tried dumping it from a DL DVD-R on the Wii and got the same problem as you, but when I installed the iso directly with the wbfs program it worked fine.

Metroid Prime works fine if you have a disc in the wii drive while playing. Doesn't seem to mather what kind of disc. And people for gods sake, start searching for answers.

Bladexdsl - Then try again

Sometimes dumping on the wii crashes, try and try again or download an iso and transfer on pc.

looks like you can't install two games in a row, still kind of buggy, but works great none the less!

Thanks Wanin!

Bladexdsl - if you formated with the wii you can't use the new (build delta) wbfs, the old one should work though. I also formated with the wii but wanted to use the new build of wbfs so I just repartitioned it in win as ntfs then formated it with wbfs and retransfered the games. (Luckely they transfer damn fast!)

jacklaidlaw - You can transfer both from wii and from pc (win/linux)

once it's repartitioned you just drop the games ISo in there? what partition program did you use.

I used Win vistas disk manager (located in Computer Management under Administrative Tools in the control panel), just make sure you make a primary partition, NOT logical. Choose ntfs for filesystem and pick a drive letter.
Start upp cmd as administrator
Run "wbfs_win driveletter init" (exchange driveletter with your chosen driveletter) and it'll change the selected partition to wbfs.
Now all you have to do is run "wbfs_win driveletter add nameof.iso"
