Bladexdsl - There's a partition manager in XP too

1. Log on as administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
2. Click Start, click Run, type compmgmt.msc, and then click OK.
3. In the console tree, click Disk Management. The Disk Management window appears. Your disks and volumes appear in a graphical view and list view.

So, I know that DVDrw don't work with the backup loader, but I was wondering if the USB loader can/ever will be able to read DVDrw discs. It would be good to be able to burn ISOs, then rip the game, then reuse the disc.

I can think of about five games on the Wii worth going through this hassle for and I have them on DVD already. Any chance of a simple .iso launcher that works off fat or ntfs in the future?

LewieP - why not connect your drive to your computer and transfer the iso, it's really fast:

adding RUUP01 Animal Crossing Wii...

Animal Crossing only took 16seconds to transfer and Super Smash Bros. Brawl (6.77GB) took just over 5minutes, and thats faster than you'll be able to burn a single dvd

I've seen reports of the Kingston 8gb data traveler working on here and on the wiki, but I can't for the life of me get it to work.

I've gotten the error when trying it in the Wii, I used a wbfs tool to format it and it still gave the -1 error.

I even hot swapped it to trick it, by putting in a 512mb one that it did recognize, then swapping it out with my 8gb kingston and it formatted, installed a game, and played it. When I restarted the Wii and tried usb loader again, it gave the same -1 error.

So if people have gotten it to work... can you help a brother out?

This works perfectly with my HP 4gb Flash drive, my sandisk micro cruzer 4gb and 8gb models. I'm getting a sandisk 16gb micro cruzer just to store my games.

Can someone please create a mod of this loader that is child-friendly? i.e. just loads games and NO add/remove

TIA

wiiuk4 - ?? from where do you plan on loading the games if you can't add/remove?

the loader itself is in my oppinion pretty slimed down, all you can do is add/remove and play, can't really remove anything more.

the things I'd want for the next version is: ability to rename games, perhaps dress up the loader to show the game channel animation included in the iso

i would run full version from hbc to add/remove, i.e. I do that task
kids would run channel version to select and run

and yes I agree renaming and artwork are very desirable!

i also would like a parent control flag so some games need pwd to run - but hey cant have everything at once!!

I have an external hdd Iomega Prestige 1TB that work 1 time on 10 with USB Loader 1.1, but EVERY time with GeexBox.
With USB Loader 1.1 i have try to force to work with an hotswap with a Sandisk pendrive 4gb and will work sometimes....

There is a bug in USB Loader or in cios? Help me!

From what I've heard you need to keep your partition below 500GB

And try connecting it to the other usb-port, helps for some people.

Could someone of you recompile the source of USB loader 1.1 and change the image to this:

TbM.png

and upload it somewhere like mediafire etc etc...

what tools are required to build the source?

anyone got a virtual machine already setup with the development environment?

tia

Before I do this I have some questions!

First, I was thinking of updating to 4.0 through the Waninikoko installer, is this app compatible with that?

Second, I have a SimpleTech 320GB HardDrive, is there a compatibility list so I can see if it works?

Lastly, I downloaded an ISO a while back and still have it on Disc, the ISO is on my Hardrive now along a few others, will I be able to load the ISO from there?

Lastly (Yea one more), is there a special file type and folder that the ISO (Or w/e it uses) goes into?

If I think of anymore, I'll ask lol.

Let's see if anyone knows the anwser to this. I have like 30+ titles on my hdd and everytime I pause the game and leave it paused say for about 5 min whatever game I am playing freezes and when I got to reboot the wii and use the usb loader it gives me a return -1 error but when I plug the hdd back into the computer my game files are still on there. Anyone know how to fix this so that I do not have to reformat the hdd again.
