Hi guys!

Been using a modded WiiU for a while now, and I think that plays games nicely.

Two days ago though my nephew and I decided to try Lego Batman DC and Marvel Super Heroes in coop (gamepad + nunchuck & wiimote) both got through USB Helper so installed on my HD as usual.

Long story short, they freeze often, and usually in the same exact spot... Marvel Super Heroes was perfect the first few hours then began to freeze, Batman froze in the first stage a couple of times.

What can be the issue? Is there any work around?

Update: we were playing without the sensor bar installed, so we decided to install it and we managed to play Batman longer without any freeze (doubt that could be the fix though).

Thank you in advance for your help!

Have you turned off HDD sleep mode? As it sounds like the HDD is going to sleep. Downloading the games using USB Helper has nothing to do with the issue as USB Helper gets the game straight from Nintendo's own CDN the exact same place legitimately bought Eshop games are downloaded from.

Anyway to switch off sleep mode go to Data Management. Press and hold down on the D-Pad for about half a second. While holding down down on the D-Pad, press and hold the + and - buttons and keep them pressed down until you see a prompt referring to the HDD sleep mode. Select disable - you will be advised that this setting might consume more energy.

Thank you for sharing this useful trick! It is strange that I haven't experienced such a technical issue with other games, even playing longer sessions...
Probably because the lego games aren't really accessing the HDD much. For instance Breath of the Wild accesses the HDD every few seconds as does a number of other WiiU games
