USB-Boot is just a nice tool for people with an USBGecko. According to emu_kidid (who also made SD-Boot), the compatibility is quite good, but you may experience lags and graphics issues.
Dont buy an USBGecko just because of this application. Wait until emu_kidid releases SD-Boot 1.0 and purchase a SDGecko instead.
