Hardware Upgrade Internal HD

Hi
Is it possible to upgrade the internal HD of a PS4 and then jailbreak it?
The firmware of the ps4 will be on 5.05

If i look at the tutorial on line to replace a PS4 HD
it requires 5.55 system software download to be installed on the new HD and im guessing that will flash the ps4 with th latest firmware?

All you need is the 5.05 recovery pup. The 900mb one.
