Hacking Upgrade from WiiFlow 1.1 to latest

Hi all,

Yesterday I installed WiiFlow 1.1 and setup the channel and all is working fine (with the exception of some covers but I will sort that!).

I have since found out that the newest version is 2.1 - is it easy to upgrade?

Do I just need to replace the wii flow folder for the newer one and remove the channel and put a new one on? Can I leave the old channel etc...?

Any help appreciated!

copy dol and delete your wiiflow.ini file.
Remember this file is under SD:\apps\wiiflow\ or USB:\apps\wiiflow\

Though I don't think this is 100% needed....I suggest deleting everything and just placing the latest .dol in your wiiflow apps file...all the other folders will get created when u first run wiiflow....if u want to u could backup your covers and place them in the folders that get created...

Also, if the channel is a forwarder channel than you don't have to delete it, if it isn't, than you will have to install a new one for 2.1.

To find out which the channel is, try loading it without the SD in the wii. If it loads than it's a regular channel, if it doesn't it's a forwarder

If it wasn't a forwarder, and you liked the channel you had, but can't find a 2.1 version of it, than pm me and I can update the old one for you.

BTW - It's a full channel because the SD card isn't in anymore.

so have you updated the full channel to 2.1?

I will remove old one and find a 2.1 channel to install when I have 5 mins. Can't get my boy off the console long enough though!

Hi all,

Just to let you know I renamed the wiiflow folder on the drive and put a fresh one on. I then installed a forwarder. Although it's slower with the forwarder instead of the channel I will not have to worry about updates (at least that's what I read earlier!)
