Hacking Upgrade from V3 to 5.05 without bluray

Hi

I fixed an old dead PS4 that had a broken bluetooth and i ve got now a working 3.11 PS4.
In the meantime a friend of mine tried to fix it and lost the bluray cable.

Is it possible/safe somehow to upgrade to 5.05 without a working bluray driver ?
