Homebrew Upgrade from a downgrade?

Is it possible to update your 3DS after downgrading it? Because I just made a downgrade from 10.3 to 9.2 and now that I know that I can't buy an SD card in a while (economy) can I just upgrade to 10.6 from 9.2 without any risk? How?

I'm new to this and my english is bad. Thanks.

If you only have downgraded and have not done EmuNand or things like that, I guess if you can do it without problems. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have upgraded my 9.2 downgraded 3ds to 10.6 without problems (because I had to send it for repair), so good to go!

After the downgrade I erased menuhax in HBL and tried to access GW (from HBL, too) but nothing happened. That's everything I've done.

However, do I have to / should erase some files before updating?
