Gaming Upgrade DS with XL screens possible?

I know its a stupid idea, so dont make fun of me, OK?

I have a DS lite, but since I got my 3ds, I had no idea what to do with it. Its not worth much, especially with a loose hinge (probably under £3.00) so instead of throwing it away I was wondering if I could replace the screens with DSi XL screens. You know, as a fun modding project just because I’m bored. Although it would be tricky unless I got a special case to accommodate the huge screens, and even then the button layout would still be an issue. So what’s your opinion?

anything is possible the question is , do you have the electronics knowledge to work out how to do it, its not as easy as just swapping something out and away you go, hell even the gba had screen revisions between models (models of the same series not GBA and GBA sp variation)
