Hi
So i have a switch and the firmware says version 8.0.1(AMS 0.8.9)
So as you may know its an old version and switch hasnt really been used
So where do i begin with updating it?
Thanks

So i can update to 9.2.0 yes it will be okay?
If your switch is an unpatched one, then you can run the latest firmware (as long as it is supported by Atmosphere and Hekate). At this time, the latest firmware is supported by both.

Thanks
So i just need to..
Use choi update , put new atmosphere payload in rcm loader and boot and thats it?

use neutos. it's a fork of atmosphere that has all the newest patches in one download. https://github.com/borntohonk/NEUTOS/releases does the same as atmosphere, just with support for updated sig patches. put its payload.bin on your rcm loader.

Well for one this thread is Atmosphere if it's asking for boot.dat that's SX OS. You need to download the newest sxos boot.dat on their website and put it on your sd card.

Then you're using Hekate and have an old version and need to update hekate just google it and download the latest version from github.

I have copied the sig patches now into the atmosphere folder but it says when trying to install a file
Error 2002-4518
Invalid nca (might mean missing sigoatches..

You probably didn't copy them correctly. The files need to be copied and pasted into Atmosphere (files, not folder), if there's a folder with the patches that won't work. Just go into the patches folder hit CTRL+A, CTRL+C then go to root Atmosphere folder and CTRL+V. Done.
