I just got my Japanese Wii which is equipped with the D2CKey .

When i play a NTSC or PAL ISOs , and they ask me to update my firmware , do i follow suit?

Will updating my jap wii through these pal and ntsc cause any problems?

Thx in advance!

On a side note , could anyone give me the link for the GenericWiiPatcher and WIIScrubberv1.2.
I have tried searchin them but to no avail.

ok i have a jap wii and d2ckey just like u and heres wat i do, update your wii online through the internet first (look online for an english translation for the wii setting if u dont know japanese), then get ntsc-J game iso with the updates u required to play the game (for instance get the jap mario kart iso) then get a pal or ntsc version of the game and wbb it and you should be good to go. (sometimes u need to run the language patcher to run the game such as dragon quest swords)

NEVER update your wii with an out of region game

this results in semi-brick or full bricking of console...

unless you have a NAND backup do not even try...

update with smash bros jpn game - it has firmware 3.1v2j
on the disc - brickblock all other out of region games - afaik
all games should boot just fine with this firmware...
