Hi!

Im new on the NSW modding so i have a question that i dont know how to search info about it. My question is: You must install the last update of a game to play it? I mean, if you dont have internet connection, could you play it without the update? (of course im talking about backups games). I know that it sounds dumb, but i saw some forums where ppl was asking for updates saying that they couldnt play the games they have.

Thank you in advance!

PD: Sorry for my english, its not my native language.

it really depends on the game. some games will let you start software even if there's an update. some games won't let you start without updating first.

This ^^. I actually haven't encountered a game that refused to launch before it got updated. But if you really do need to find an update, look in the usual places (same place where you find the games).

But if you dont have internet connection, how can the game know that there is a new update?

I think firmware updates also contain game update information.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I think firmware updates also contain game update information.
like if you try to play an original copy of zelda on the latest firmware it knows it needs to be updated.

Hehe. I was searching for a similar topic About updating games.
You can download the nsp update files to update your games. Or if you are not banned just through the legal way.
But my question was: can you skip updates. Let say your game is at v1.0. And there is a v.1.5. Can you skip v1.2, v1.3 etc. and install the latest update only. Or do you have to install all updates in chronological order?

Just installing the latest update will do. You can skip all the others. Otherwise, it would be hellish to update a game that's been updated a dozen time. Imagine having to hunt them all down.
