Hacking Updating cheat manually

How do you update the cheats database on a AK2i manually? I have tried updating on wifi but it always fails and I have done what the instructions say but nothing seems to happen.

I have downloaded a newer cheat.dat and put it in the same folder as the USRCHEAT.DAT, am I doing something wrong or am I forgetting something?

Replace the old USRCHEAT.DAT with a new one. Download it at http://cheats.gbatemp.net/Temp/

Download the new USRCHEAT.dat, delete the old USRCHEAT.dat.

Is the USRCHEAT.dat even updated yet? (haven't looked) If it aint you should use the temp one since that's updated.
