Is there any reason why the buttons are...overly sensitive?

I especially noticed this with Castlevania and Zelda when I tried to put in a name and it did the same letter four times with one button press.
You're probably holding the turbo buttons, that slipped me up too the first time. :P

Which Castlevania game are you talking about? I got the same problem with Castlevania 3, whose emulation is too fast .

I was playing Castlevania II (yeah I know, the game's bad, but I found a ROM hack to make it slightly better). I think Castlevania 3, which I also have on my Acekard, has the same problem.

How do I make the gameplay screen look exactly to scale? Also, I haven't tried NiFi yet. But, it would be nice to see it fixed in a future version.

Edit: I've just remembered, Time Lord (originally made by MB Games) gfxs flickers quite a lot and affects gameplay (as you don't know where your going), but... sprites aren't affected though.

Hi, a new update for nesDS.
When nifi is used, 1p and 2p should have exactly the same settings, here is a possible list:
1. PAL/NTSC timing should be the same
2. non-puersoft rendering
3. same input auto-fire setting
4. no shortcut used
5. better disable ALLPIXEL
6. no extra controller
7. no saving state, no saving sram
8. same game/rom

nifi is tested on 'DS+R4 and DSi+AK'.

A comment and a question.

First, this has turned out to be an amazing emulator. Thank you for the continued updates and support! :D

Now, my question is about the cheat function. I read through this thread and did a search but couldn't find an answer, so I appologies if this has been answered already.

When I convert GameGenie codes they give me four digits for the code address but nesDS only accepts three digits for the address. Why is that? Is there any way to convert GameGenie codes so that they are compatable with the three digit address? Or is it possible to create a .cht (or similar) file and just place it in the folder with the games?
I understand how to use the code search function, but it's a major hassle to use that to enter every single code I want for each game.

Thanks.

Well... Talk about ask and you'll receive. Good to see an update at last. It's just a shame that I haven't got anyone to play via NiFi with.

Anyway... What is the Maximum players that you can play with via NiFi? As say if I wanted to play Gauntlet II, would I be able to play with three other people? As it supports fours players.

1 request. when you press the touchscreen can you make the game pause? very hard to use the menu when running a game

I just pause then use the touch screen,

This so far is the best NES on the DS, I even managed to get Castlevania III playable by playing with the options. Now you can see the bats!!! lol

Simply awesome.

Once again, thanks a lot for all your hard work! I'll let you know if I find anything, I noticed Baseball Star's emulation was better with every update, I'll edit this post if I find anything. (And I use an older GoodNES set for my roms, so you should have reliable source to compare against)

EDIT: Well, looks like when I last played it, I was lucky! I thought about a regression at first, something that wasn't working anymore, but further testing resulted in something else. Depending on the team matches, batting players are sometimes garbled. Playing VS games against the computer, if you play as the American Dreams (the first team, the Star icon) against the SNK crushers (the last team, the S icon), the first batter looks fine, but the next (or the one after that) doesn't. If you play as the AD against the second team (the ninjas or something like that), the first batter is garbled too. When I tried it and I think everything everything was fine, I was playing against my custom (all male, if it makes a difference) team. The game is still playable that way, but let me know if anything can be done!

EDIT2 : Well, I found out by accident, messing with Pure-Soft, that it works in SP-per-tile; guess that gives me a reason to leave the settings that way! Thanks again for the great work, I'll let you know if I find anything else! :)

Has anyone been able to get Akumajou Densetsu (the Japanese version of Castlevania III) working? If I'm not mistaken there was an update to the emulator a little while ago that was supposed to patch the game, but when I tried playing it the graphics were wonky and the music tracks were messed up. Is getting the game to work simply a matter of fiddling with the settings, and if so, what are the recommended settings that I should use? If not, will the game ever be compatible with nesDS?

How do I make this work on my SCDStwo though? Seems the .ini file that was used to get it booting correctly and the like hasn't been updated or will even work for the newer builds. I for example prefer to play with BAswap on; however, whenever I booted up r95 for instance, it refuses to acknowledge that setting. Every single time I tried saving it with the internal menu command, it would hard lock and the change wouldn't 'take'.

Is anyone currently working on the plug-in files for the DStwo? Or are we basically SOL?

I wondered about game genie support, i would love it to be able to use game genie codes like you can on an emulator on the pc, some games are hard without codes, like say the ninja turtles games for instance heh, or the ninja gaiden series. Thanks for any help

Hmm... I was wondering as well about converting Game Genie codes into rom addresses.

Using Game Genie Encoder/Decoder by the way.
