More suggestions from me:
1. Option to adjust the speed of turbo A/B?
2. Layer fixes for games that have layer issues?
3. An option for overscan (or a black border)? This is either as simulation for CRT, or to block from certain things from appearing on-screen (such as the discoloration on the right side in Super Mario Bros 3).
4. A config file that allows per-file configuration (i.e. there's no included settings, but the config contains user-defined settings tied with the ROM's filename). It's easier than doing a per-game config any other way. This is if you're planning to put a per-game configuration at all.
5. Sprite scaling again. I know I already said this, and you've said that it wouldn't work well. I just really want it, because I want a Mario 3 with DPCM and a normal-looking Mario at the same time. You can try either having the sprites move slightly when scaled, or recoding the scaling system, or cutting off the top/bottom of a sprite rather than the middle. Try whatever it takes, because if you get this done, this emulator will be much more enjoyable.

1. This would be supported if a config file was added.
2. Too much work. I dont want to, now.
3. Impossible, because of the low resolution of NDS. 256*480 at least, which can be used on PC.
4. Same as the first, but I dont like it. Actually no need.
5. I wont try before I had a clear mind on how to do the sprite-scaling thing. Writing codes takes a lot of time.
Too many suggestions mean nothing to me.. Tell me the most important things you care about.

I'm sorry for posting too many suggestions.

But right now, the most important thing to me is proper FDS support. And I think that would require a config file.

I'd like to see FDS support too (Though it'd probably need the BIOS file)...
I want to play "Hao-kun no Fushigi na Tabi" (released in a chopped up form as Mystic Quest).

Could you add option to disable 'start' and 'select' combination shortcuts. Sometimes, I have problem with 'Punch out' when I press start for 'super punch' and accidentally press left.

It's possible that a config file will be added which will allow for custom shortcuts.

But until then, I can compile a build for you if you'd like..
I can change the combo if you'd like, I can also add a Start In directory and swap the Y+B to B+A. PM me what you'd like and I'll make a build for you.

The only game I've wanted to play on nesDS that has never played properly would be Nobunaga's Ambition 2. While 1 plays perfectly, I've never been able to get 2 to work. It has continuous graphical glitches, making it absolutely impossible to play.

UPDATES:
--------
0.44b:
Since the nesDS file is larger, this version is NOT recommended for those who just want to play nes games.
Port the whole project to devkitPro, using libnds, libfat....
Almost no update, but some figures may be worse. e.g. sound with the games that read reg4015. Some games' sounds work better... - -!
You guys can try 'Start+Select+R+L' to exit your nesDS and return to the main menu of flash-card. On mine, it just shotdown my DS(R4SDHC with kernel1.34, no help with moonshell2 either).
Since this version, the mem region cannot be accessed freely, be careful if anyone wants to write a patch.
The libnds and libfat are too big... 128k around. Shit that!

Compiles a bit faster now

rewind is a bit 'buggy' again.

Sweet! Works with Sudokuhax now

Wait, what?

Which build? Last time I checked it could not access the SD card...

0.44b, mentioned in the post above mine.
The "L+R+start+select" button combination works to return you to the homebrew menu when run through Sudoku, by the way.

I just notice the problem with the clock is back...

In 0.42(I think, maybe 0.43) the ingame timers in Mario and Punch Out were fine, but in 0.44 they're fast again.

Just played 0.44b with the Sudokuhax and Homebrew Channel combination. This is frigging beautiful, it runs like a crystalline dream, and had no problem dealing with my directory of 717 nes roms. Someone figure out what was done, and let's get to work on other emulators. A golden era is upon us!

Don't go deleting it from your flash card just yet though: Writing to the SD is not yet supported by the development tools, so no saving when run through Sudoku.

For reasons that make no sense to me, I don't have any emulators on my flash card. Didn't realize it didn't support writing yet, but man alive, it runs nice...

Forgetting everything else in the post, what does THIS mean? i.e. what else would you use nesDS for but to play nes games? (playing PD/homebrew nes games?)

what he means is that this is an experimental version that works with sudokuhax/homebrew channel that may break a few things. It's generally recommended to stay on 0.44a if you're only aiming to play nes games in the usual way (flash card).

also what aj said.

Is there any chance of setting the display to a-lerp as default? It looks great in most games, but the default is flicker
frown.gif
I'm sure it'd be easy to change in the source...
I'd also like to know how to change to Per-Scanline by default as that fixes a few games displays, but I haven't seen it negatively impact one (I haven't tested a whole lot though).

Some games look a bit dark with a-lerp, and a few "correct themselves" after a sec.
