hi i modded my wii with letter bomb and dont really care for the hackedness much but the wii comes up with a update is it safe to do so dont really wanna do any of the fiddily stuff just update it from nintendo

It's safe to update your Wii, but you'll likely lose some of your softmods, including some cIOS files. It's recommend you just update your Wii/softmod using ModMii and enable the "Block disc updates" and "Block online updates" hacks in Priiloader.
If you're trying to do an online update and there's an error, then it might be that you already have updates blocked in Priiloader. It's recommended you just update using ModMii anyway.
