Hacking Update other region games

I have a backup of my Japanese SSB4 and I use it to play it on the GateWay with my EUR 3DSXL. Is there a way to update my game? I can't play online now

You have to look online for the .cia update of the game and then install with DevMenu.

I'm guessing it's because ssb4 come out in Japan first so he probably couldn't wait not that it really matters cuz it's in English anyways since he's running at on a EU ds.
