Hacking update emunand to 10.4?

I am running a n3ds xl with 9.2. Is it possible to upgrade my gw emunand to 10.3 or 10.4? If so, how?

Sure, download the update pack with 3DNUS and install using any CIA manager or sysupdater.

i'm trying to update my gw emunand to 10.4.0-29. I am using 3nus 1.9, I put 10.4.0-29 in the title id, and version u, new 3ds. A titlelist downloads. Am I supposed to find a 10.4.0-29 title in that list? And then download that with 3dnus? Sorry, I am new at this.

It really doesn't even have to be that hard. You can update your emuNAND to the latest FW (10.5) just by going through the system settings. There's really no reason to keep your emuNAND at 10.4, when 10.5 works just fine.

question, I am thinking about cleaning up my sysnand and emunand. how can i backup my saves for my games? and my dlc? after i back everything up, do i go to format sd on sysnand? then restore my saves and dlc. and then create a new emunand. then update the emunand to 10.5
