Feedback Gaming Hardware Update, Connecting internet issue

Hi, I need a little help. I found my nintendo 3ds xl after a few years, I wanted to play with my brother Mario Kart 7, but I couldn't connect via "Download Play". I checked my console version and it's 11.6.0-39U, my brother's is 11.8.0-41U. I saw that they can only connect to WIFI 2.4 ghz (which I already did). I don't know what to do to be able to connect to the internet and how to play with my brother. I'll be sending some pictures, hopefully it can help a bit.

This is unclear. Are you and your brother in the same room, or are you trying to connect over the Internet? Because Download Play does not require any kind of Internet connection.

If you are trying to connect over the Internet, then that would not be feasible without using Pretendo, since Nintendo shut down the Mario Kart 7 servers.

Also, if you fixed the problems in your other two threads, why not provide some details about how you fixed the problems, for the benefit of future readers?

After 5 years, I decide to use my nintendo 3ds xl again, but I am surprised that it does not connect to the internet, the console is in excellent condition. Since 2 weeks ago I've tried to connect my console to the internet, but I can connect it, the version of my console is 11.6.0-39U.

Is a normal console, I didn't install any kind of hack or smth like that and I don't have the CFW thing. What can I do? I need help.

You can update from a cartridge. Look for any of the last edited physical games.

Hello, we are in the same room. We don't try to play through the internet. I only resumed this account after years, I did manage to fix that error, but I was also never able to update my console

Download Play does not require a connection to an access point. Something else is wrong.

1) Idk wth happened but I now can connect via Download Play
2) Nope, only him have Mario Kart 7
3 and 4) I'm sorry for the confusion, I didn't get to fix it. My dad had a 2.4 ghz router that he saved for a while. The consoles says "Connection test successful" but you can see in the image that it is not. When i try to update it says "Error Code: 003-0299 Wireless communication is currently disabled" But it is activated. I just found another post and sadly they did not continued the conversation. Sono in that conversation said this (picture). I will search for more info

Yep, i can now play with my brother, what I did was to try to connect to wifi with both console, then enter to mario kart 7 and go to local multiplayer
