Hacking Update Blocking Questions

I am afraid to turn my Wii U on because I want to make sure I am blocking Updates properly. Does Tubehax still work? Also, what should I set as secondary DNS? I am unable to block specific sites on my Modem/Router combo, so I hope Tubehax and Secondary DNS still work. Thoughts and help on this appreciated

Tubehax seems to be down.
Look for DNS-U among the recent threads. Also, you can try LocalDNS, which I'm using. It runs on your computer but gives you total control ofte blocking sites.

Is there a way to block updates and still access internet for things like TCP Gecko and Wii U game Trainers? Would DNS-U do that?

Yes it would. If unsure, always check on Loadiine.ovh for current update-blocking DNS .
