Apple Update apps

So whats the best way to update apps that havnt been obtained from the app store

I downloaded Updatr, and obtained the update file and they say the ipa update is installed however when I start the app, its still the old version

I believe you can just use [Redacted] and install the newer version's .ipa.

im using appsync right now, the only way to put a new one on is to delete the old file along with all game saves

Just download the updated ipa file to your computer open it and Itunes will ask you would you like to upgrade the app and click yes and sync. It works fine for me and it keeps my game saves on all the games I updated.

that worked, it wony sync unless I remove and plug the ipod back in
