Was gonna update but just wanted to be sure of something. I have an external hard drive connected to the Wii U(It only has 1 game on it right now, my Wii U is NOT hacked) was wondering, do I have to keep the external drive disconnected as Im updating the firmware then I can connect it again once its completed?

I never read their user agreements but since this one said it changed i figured i would read it. Here is a sample, Dunno if it was there before or what not.

goes on more but im tired. I just had that part in mind with them saying if u modify it, the system will be unplayable, not "might be" or "could make it" Just struck my attention.

Also NWPlayer123 It is Mozilla/5.0(Nintendo WiiU) AppleWebKit/536.28(KHTML, like Gecko) NX/3.0.3.12.14 NintendoBrowser/3.1.1.9577.US

Is what I am getting from whatsmyagent.com

Edit: They also turn back on your standby and quick start by default when you update.

Its just a warning to scare off people from potentially hacking/breaking the system. Plus, alot of the time EULAs dont hold up in court anyway, theyre just scare tactics

It's probably downloaded and installing already on my Wii U. However, I've actually found a massive flaw with the Quick Start menu that I hope they address. You can usually hold the B button to boot straight into vWii, however, you can't do that as effectively if Quick Start is enabled. I hope that they add a button to boot directly into vWii from the Quick Start menu or something. The only way to work around it is to turn on the console first, then hold B on the gamepad until it's turned on, which is a bit of a pain.

you can always start the console and hold B on a wiimote instead and it will work as usual

I figured, but usually the scare comes with a possibly or a "might make it unplayable" this just seems to me they are trying to reserve the right to shutoff your WiiU from working if they so choose with their rights. There was also an online user agreement too but i got bored and lazy as I said.

Implying people actually read those.

So, no one knows, at all, what the changes really were? Should we be worried?

In WiiU mode, Yes we are! That's why I didn't updated since 5.1.0, the latest version supporting browser exploit.
In vWii mode, several people confirmed that update didn't affect the vWii hack.

Many devs told me that 5.1.2 is safe, which I'm on, I simply don't want another BS 5.x.x only hack scenario, that's all. There are still bugs in the webkit, Nintendo will most likely never patch it completely. I go by their words, however.

If they said 5.1.2 is safe, that is a good thing, after all they know what they does. Whatever, I stay on 5.1.0 just in case.

Oh, ok. I see how it is. Warning: Big Image
