I can also confirm that The Homebrew Channel works on the SD Card menu, which is great for all of our users running homebrew.

My Homebrew Channel is still available and I can access it. When I try to run the problems aka emulators. They never load up. The emulator loads then goes to a black screen.

so does this mean for now if anyone updates this is the end of homebrew i looked at the wiibrew link Blue-K gave and right now that is what i'm seeing.

EDIT
also this now means all the new wiis that get shipped are going to be 3.5.

But, Are you able to install wads?
I just use homebrew channel for intalling wads and using mplayer ce!

The new batch of IOSes must have included an updated IOS36 if the homebrew channel can launch, but can't load homebrew. Is this the case for everyone, or is Nintendo actually deleting the Homebrew Channel?

I have a legit Wii that I update. I mainly the emulators and Save installer and extractor on it.
So far my emulators will not load. I'm going to try and find newer version for it. The save extractor/installer is still working. I don't know about other programs. This Wii lost the ability to do those things long ago. I have another Wii just for that.

Update my MAME still works. I think if I find the newer version of the emulators they will work just fine. I'm looking now.

if the hombrew channel still some how works there should be a way to work around this and also get that SD card feature.

can someone confirm, if following things are still working with the update
- backup launcher
- gecko os
- wad installer

I hate new Wii Updates lol, theyr so cool but then give us all this trouble.
I still have the first 3.3 version (since I think there were 2 3.3 updates or something?)

I haven't used the shop channel in months and months lol (thankfully nothign cool has come out)

I mainly just need to make sure i can use the Homebrew Channel, installing wads, Gecko OS (and any future versions of that which may come out), and mplayer would be nice to keep
my wii is hard modded, so i dont need the backup loader to run my backups thankfully

Previous installs of HBC and DVDx are fine. You may or may not be able to install more apps after updating, though.
I use geexbox, mplayer, softchip that came with the backup suite 4.0 (to run some wiifrii'd games, that otherwise would run b&w) and had to install IOS16. Could I update? I'm scared! lol
I better wait for a while

I suggest nobody update for a while. The SD Card feature is cool but not worth it, as you were living without it for all this time. There should be a way to get this feature soon. A hack will be here for sure.

Well none of my emulators work expect for MAME. I'm using just the basic Homebrew Channl. No SoftMii. StarMii or whatever. Save installer works. Luckly I have 2 other Wiis for all my illegal Homebrew Apps.
