I have quite a bit to drink so it's easy I missed it but honestly have no recollection of it asking me to update. It was so fast. Pressed A on zelda..... Updating.. Complete.. Restarting console..

I didn't take a screenshot.
But it only gave me two options: update or cancel. No option to go into the game.

like someone posted earlier, it shouldve looked like this

But wait. What do modders/hackers/coders (call them how you want) say about this. Do they think its better to stay on 2.0 or maybe even 1.0 or we should update?
Edit: I am talking homebrew, not piracy

The system will prompt to update but you have the option to skip the installation and launch a game in the nag screen. It seems to me people are button mashing at boot and clicking the install option then blaming the Nintendo ninjas in the night.

LOL, quite possible. Also the button above looks like a window decoration not a button if you are blind.

1.0 doesn't even have webkit, and since the webkit exploit is what everyone is freaking out about being patched in 2.1, I'd say it's best to stay on 2.0. If you are on 1.0 you will be updated to 2.1.0 so it's too late for you anyway.

The left joy-con periodically de-syncing after moving past 6ft issue
is actually a hardware issue not a software one.
the problem is due to nintendo cheaping out during manufacturing.
they should have installed a 2" copper wire antenna but they didn't.
The antenna built in is just a small circuit board copper trace which is installed behind the L button.

I found a video on youtube and i soldered in a wire to the pre existing solder point on the circuit board.
i took the wire from an old ethernet cable i had lying around.
the left joy-con worked great afterwards.

here's the video i found video in case any of you want to fix your left joy con.
