If you have a9lh/k9lh and are using cfw with an updated sysnand then everything except certain hourly versions of Luma and downgrading (the latest Luma hourly fixes downgrading though if you already have cfw there is no point in downgrading) still works fine. If you are still using menuhax+emunand then it is safe to update your emunand. If you are userland homebrew only then don't update.

Well first get a Luma Version that works with 11.2 (just download the stable 6.3.1 Version will do it) and then update.
For that you can use something like starupdater or lumaupdater. This way you don't need to swap stuff around on your sd because the updaters handle all that stuff.
Depending on your Luma Version it could be that you need to do the configuration again, but that should be no problem since you can just look for it in Plailect's guide.

The Luma updater doesn't work for me on 11.2 so if you want to update Luma, you should do so before updating.

OK, I'm just starting to get interested in installing a homebrew launcher exploit with the end goal of using PKHex, and I am struggling to find out exactly what will work with 11.2.0-35 since the update is so recent. For reference, I have an original 3DS XL with absolutely no exploits or modifications right now. http://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Exploits is stating that ninjhax 2.x will work on 11.2.0-35, but the actual ninjhax installation site doesn't confirm that. Since I don't trust myself with most of the methods of firmware downgrading - before I start to track down a copy of Cubic Ninja to attempt to use ninjhax 2.x, can I even execute it with my system currently being on 11.2.0-35? or is it just that previously exploited systems will continue to work on 11.2.0-35?

The Luma updater doesn't work for me on 11.2 so if you want to update Luma, you should do so before updating.

I've just checked and I've installed the version 6.3.1 that "luma updater" tells me to be the latest. So you confirmed that I can upgrade safely?

Yea, a9lh users are having no trouble. I've already updated.
Like I said though, luma updater(CIA Version) for whatever reason doesn't work from 11.2.
EDIT: Star Updater seems to work.

I use oot3dhax and while I can get to hbl, nearly every app is broken and freezes on the yellow screen when running. Even oot3dhax installer.

So yeah, yellow8's and smealum's claims that oot3dhax is fine is just wrong. Just because it boots hbl doesn't mean it doesn't need updating.

For the sake of stopping confusion I would classify oot3dhax and 11.2 as broken.

What specific apps are failing?

I'm mostly narrowing it down to anything that tries to read the save data of a cart. svdt wil run fine on installed apps but crashes on use with a cart. oot3dhax sploit installer fails too.

Similarly Hans on a cart-based game fails. If it touches the cart, it will fail it seems.
