Mine has the same problem.

One option is to open it up and fix the spring (Probably the issue), the second problem (And safer) is to attempt to fix it from the outside.

I believe if you're under warranty you should be able to take it to be fixed (For general wear-and-tear) with no problem.

Do you guys throw with your NDS a lot? Cuz I had the same problem

Just send it to Nintendo and you'll get it fixed for free

blow it
like cover the space of the
L button with your mouth
and blow
could be dusty where the connection is

I've never sent mine in, mostly because I'm not sure how long they'd take, and I don't want to be a week or so without my DS, because I play it almost daily.

My brother and mother also both have DS's of their own, but borrowing theirs would mean they'd be without one for a while, and they play almost as frequently.

My friend suggested something similar
Gonna try that right now

EDIT: Thanks it worked

When my friend suggested it i didn't thought she meant just to blow on it not like that
I tried with a vacuum just now (the exhust end) and that totally screwed it up xD
Then your suggestion fixed it

Now im gonna get some mouth wash

I tried that myself on mine, and it seems like a temp fix, for instance every few hours I find myself blowing into it again to use it.
