unreleased resident evil for gameboy color

A collector over on the Assembler forums is staging a "fundraiser" to release two ROMs of the Game Boy Color port of Capcom's original Resident Evil. The game was nearly completed by a UK developer in the late '90s, and stays shockingly true to the PS1 original. It's never been publicly released, the fundrasier was completed and the rom was released there are two prototype roms floating around just remember this game was cancelled before it was finished but the roms are about 90% playable but can not be finished

yes appertanly the person who released the roms purchased the two dev carts on ebay with a bunch of other dev hardware and decied if he raised $2000 beofre feb 29th 2012 he would release the roms the rais the $2000 on feb 4th and the orginal cost was proablly at least twice that for all the dev hardware he purchased

That is highly likely.

Old Dev hardware is worth a pretty penny.
All Dev hardware is worth a lot tho.

Anyway I love to see unreleased games get released.
That goes for any prototype/Alpha/Beta build.

yes there are 2 prototype rom build out there one has only chris story but better animations and other things rom build 1 has both buts its an earlier version

there is also on that site some people (which i belive is only some of the moderators) have in thier possision resident evil 1.5 which is the early build of resident evil 2 and there is word that they may release that as well (this is what i do since i have insomina and cant sleep at night i browse the internet and look for intresting stories)

i dont think we can link to them but according to capcom the ceo said he supported the fund raiser some where on capcom unity because it brought more life to the resident evil series but i still dont think we can link to the actual roms as the are still copyrighted work even though the were cancelled EDIT i just checked my link the links were not there when i found the post so they must have just added them

I'm not a Resident Evil dude, so I won't be grabbing this, but holy crap are those graphics impressive for a GBC game.

Lol, I love how much handheld graphics have improved/evolved from Gameboy to 3DS.

As I said above, I'd say that graphics quality is stunning for the system its on. It really seems to be surpassing 8-bit quality there.
