Just a heads up: New cloud storage service Copy is currently giving 10GB to everyone who signs up with a referral link. You get 5GB for signing up, and an extra 5GB when you verify your email address and install the sync app. You get an extra 5GB for anyone who signs up with your referral. There is currently no limit on the storage you can earn through referrals.

Given our sister site might well beat it.

Anyhow what do these guys offer that everybody else does not? Do I have some nice high availability or even fault tolerant stuff here (it seems unlikely given their TOS)? Similarly only my personal and internal business uses? I am more or less subject to US data laws...

Afraid at first glance it is just another in a sea of similar services.

Kick ass Linux CLI tools is what sold it for me. You results may vary :P

What sets them apart, for now at least, is that you can get a massive amount of free online storage.

I can get 50 GB with a-drive. if we are just talking pure storage, it works great. filetrip.net is giving me 100gb of free storage. in this day in age of "cloud" computing, 10 GB seems pretty stingy.

Oh, we can use Filetrip for cloud? I thought it was just for file hosting.

You've missed the point. Refer people and get more than 100GB for free.

How many people honestly sign up for those things man? If thats your number thats quite lucky but still, it just ends up being on of those chains that nobody really wins.

Referrals and stuff are against the rules unless they are in your signature.

http://filetrip.net/ gives you 100gb free with no messing around anyway! :gun:
