Hacking Unknown brand?

Hi guys,

I've just gotten back from bali and picked this up:

So my 3DS doesnt pick it up at all (no cartridge inserted)

and my DS lite picks it up but it has a White screen , has a line of flicker and then stays white.

Have a brought a dud? is there anyway to fix and update this so it can work?

if you 3ds has 4.4.0-10
then is may be BLOCK
and it a CLONE, that may NOT even work
AND
you WILL need a system can the card works on to update it anyway (if it can be updated)

I own a DS Lite, 3DS and a 3DS XL. But the white screen happens on the DS Lite :\

Any ideas?

Check this thread.
Find your kart's firmware.
Place in the root of your sd card.
Insert into your DS lite and update your card from there.
Then it should work on your 3DS assuming your kart is supported still and not blocked by the big header update.

Try doing the paper trick to see if that fixes it showing up as inserted.

Oh yeah its possible your kart isnt touching the contacts in your DS. Stuff a piece of paper between the face of your kart and the wall of your DS to put pressure on the contacts.

ok! I found a firmware that works! R4i ASDHC 1.4.1h but the menus arent in English much. where can I go from here? can another firmware update this??? is there a way I can update it so my 3DS Can read it?

what you have is a KERNEL
kernel is what the Menu is and loads games and compatibilty

the Firmware is not udpated like a kernel
a firmware update is a .nds file that is run on the card that is specific for your card and updates it to work
your card cannot have its firmware updated tho as it is not built for it

I think its a TT menu. all I need to know is which kernels are ok to use on it :/

I guess I should use linfox to go thru all the R4 Kernels and see what does and and doesn't work
