Hacking Unit swap

So only something that could happen to me...my Wii U took a spill and fried the rear USB ports therefore I lost all access to my Wii/Gamecube stuff. I have a 2nd Wii U modded and just realized that drive doesn't have enough room to add the missing games from first unit. Long story short, I know I have to start over with a new drive, is their an easy way to accomplish this or am I looking at dumpster U and nuspacker (making fake tickets and all that) or is redumping/downloading the easiest way? Thankfully I only have 1 save file per unit that I need to swap.

How badly damaged are the USB ports? Mechanical damage is not necessarily the worst thing to fix when it comes to USB ports, even more so if "working" is a higher priority than aesthetics and the like.

Damaged to the point of unusable. All my VC games were all injects so everything was working off the back ports. I have relegated myself to just starting over with a new drive on my 2nd Wii U so its just alot of time and effort getting things back. This time I'll remember to save all my copies.
