Alright, so I formatted my external on a Linux machine, but now I am operating primarily from a Windows machine, but my computer seems to have a hard time "finding" my drive. When I plug it in the machine acknowledges there is something attached, but it is not showing up under My Computer, and the various GUI based programs do not pick up a new drive letter. Would someone with some Windows magic please help me amend this. I am really a Mac guy, but I want to use some of these programs, and my laptop is Windows so any ideas would be great. Thanks!

See if it shows up in disk management, go Start -> Run, diskmgmt.msc. You may be able to assign it a drive letter in there.

Yeah, I tried that but "Assign a Drive Letter" or whatever was greyed out, I am just biting the bullet and deleting the partition and reformatting in Windows, then hoping formatting with a Windows based program does the trick. Thanks though!
