I downgraded fine, but now i cant get EmuNAND 9 to work. it just flashes red on the bottom and stays black until i hard reboot

It doesn't always work first try (EmuNand9)
EDIT; Try running this to confirm your downgrade is fine

If it's not on 11.0, just take it back and ask for another one. Again using an "incompatibility with a game" as an excuse.


Hardmod downgrading has been around for a long time now. It is unlikely that they are going to patch it now, unless they have actually spend this entire time trying to find a way to kill hardmod downgrading. The dsiware downgrade may be a similar case (although I have no clue how it works, therefore I can't really make a proper judgment on this).

Dsiware downgrading uses the same method as hardmod downgrading, where you have to dump your nand, change the native firmware, then write it back to your system. They could patch it out by making it so you can't change your native firmware. You would still be able to dump your nand and write it back to the system, but downgrading wouldn't work.
