Yeah I know, another one right? I have searched and have not found a answer to my specific question. I should be doing all the right things here. I own two self powered hard drives, both have Y cables. A Fat32 is connected to the back for all of my Wii games/emulator ROMs. The other hard drive is a Wii U formated drive for my Wii U games. It is plugged into the front of the unit. My Fat drive has UStealth on it, so there's no nag. All of my Wii apps I use have UStealth support so they all read the games off of my Fat USB drive. All goes well until I plug in my Wii U drive at the same time. It reads my Wii U games and works fully. I only have Wiiflow and USB Loader GX that reads Wii games off of my Fat drive at this point. Everything else can't read the Fat drive at all. I can unplug the Wii U drive, and everything goes back to working as they should. Is this just the trade off that the drive dissapeers once two different formats are running simultaneously?

it's the same way with my drive. I tested several things for @XFlak . it works on the wii, but not with vwii apps. makes no sense unless it's some of compatibility issue with the system itself. it doesn't work with or without ustealth.

That truly is unfortunate. I wish there was a Wii U app that accessed a Fat32 drive to test if it is just a vWii thing. Could you think of one that could test it?

Sorry to revive old thread. Is this the reason why ony WiiU, having 2 HDD connected to my WiiU. WiiU HDD to the from and vWii HDD to the back, I can load everything fine but vWii Emulators won't see roms on vWii HDD unless I unplug Wii UHDD?

This thread seem to discuss this. Genesis plus GX, Snes9x, Fceux etc can't see vWii HDD unless I unplug my Wii U HDD.

Well I gave up on this avenue. I just bought a larger SD card (256GB) and called it a day. It bummed me out that my hard drive was only holding my Wii games, but I've made the best of it. I bought a smaller drive (500GB) online for super cheap. I then stored all of my *cough* games backup installs *cough* downloaded from nusspli *cough* so that I can reinstall a game if I accidentally delete something. I also use it to make a backup of my Wii U SD card so that I don't lose anything. And I got a version of WiiXplorer with uStealth support and with WUPC support so I can manage it all, and I created a WUHB for it (I don't know where it is on this site, but I can upload it on here if you'd like). So I gave up on this venture, but I hope I've given you some ideas for other uses for it.

Edit: It's funny you mention this. Because I am in the process of upgrading my hard drives to SSDs. Which I hear they operate off of one USB port. So if I can get two SSDs plugged into the back, that leaves the front open for WUPC charging or a maybe a Gamecube controller adapter. We shall see though.
