It’s still pretty minimal, but I’ve used it to brick and restore this Wii about 10-15 times without problems.

I am not sure to have understand every thing so please correct me if i'm wrong.

He use the infectus chip to install a correct dump of his wii Nand on his bricked Wii from his computer ?

If it is right I think than sells of infectus chip will grow up soon

as far as I understood that entry, he merely restored a previous backup of his NAND. so if you have no backup before you bricked it, your wii is still fucked.

No you can't use another one NAND dump as the content of your Nand is encrypted with a key generated when your wii was built so if you copy on your wii Dump file from another Nand, your wii will not be able to read it.

That's why actually you need your proper Nand Dump to unbrick your wii.

I think thats what he was aiming for at this point though - the number of full-bricks caused are fairly minimal, but the fact is this means he can try and modify some of the inner structure of the Wii and not be worried about failing.
