Hacking Unable to access eshop

I'm trying to access the eshop in order to get a title for Haxchi, but it's not letting me because I think I changed the DNS settings. Though, I'm guessing it was a good idea, since there's a system update that's being blocked in my current downloads.

Is it possible to still access the shop and get an compatible title or did I screw myself?

Turn off dns.

The error in downloads is because even if no update is out the wii u checks for a new one.

there is no update, it shows as failed because you blocked the servers with DNS, turn the Wii U DNS back to automatic and get the haxchi game then set the DNS back.
