Gaming Ultra moon adrenaline orb no effect?

I'm trying to get zorua to SOS call but the adrenaline orb keeps on saying it has no effect.... What's going on and how do I fix it?

Have you even unlocked SOS battles yet? You need to beat the first trial for ANY SOS battle to happen!
