Okay I'm on it but after the first try I get an error while linking:

(lib_a-sysgettod.o): In function 'gettimeofday':
(.text+0x20): undefined reference to '_gettimeofday_r'

I'll try to resolve it, but if I can't get to compile it after another try I'll call it a day and go to bed.

Thanks for taking a crack at it either way.

If anyone is up for it, a new bit info on compiling has been added, and seems to offer a solution to problems with the previous build attempt:

'Note: There is an issue with the latest devkitPPC, which will give you undefined references to _gettimeofday_r when linking. Build with the previous devkitPPC release for now."

this has got a long way to go yet. when you choose higher mem it crashes if it even keeps the setting every time i go back in it's reset back to defaults? you can't map the keys in the emu which is a big pain in the ASS. most of the games i try to run on it run very slow (like desert strike) there's pretty much no help file explaining everything and the games look a little blurry on my tv?

i'll be keeping an eye on this thread though to wait and see if the bugs are fixed.

Finally I get UAE-Wii to compile for me!

So here's the latest distrib pack of UAE-Wii:

compiled r65

Please tell me if it works, because I can't test it at the moment.

Only significant Change: - Add FOLs configuration options, which improve emulation performance

Hi, can you tell me how you got it to compile, been going round in circles all day. Im itching to mess with source,

.

I have tried Devkitpro, 1.4.8, 1.4.9 and 1.5.0 even used older libogc's but still gives tod error.
Its really bugging me now,

.

I installed devkitPPC r16
then:
- downloaded the latest libogc source and compiled it
- downloaded libfat and put it into the libogc folders
- downloaded SDL-Wii Dependancies and put them into the libogc folders
- downloaded latest SDL-Wii Source, compiled and installed all Subfolders but SDL_net
- downloaded latest UAE-Wii Source and it did compile

If you need in-detail advice, just ask.

Ill give R16 ago now, if it dont work, I would love some details, aint used msys before. Or a seperate svn client, all abit confusing.

EDIT:- Another day wasted, I cant get this to compile. Tried everything, still dont work. I have spent 2 days on this, I dont get it.
If its a known problem, why hasnt it been fixed, or a work around posted.

Just tried your compile, works fine. There is 1 problem, the sound frequency is wrong.
Add these 2 lines to the config;

sound_frequency=32000
sound_latency=200

EDIT:- OK, got it working finally,

Got it running abit faster, and go extra ram to work, before it was giving only 0.5MB (no Autoconfig).
Now thats sorted, it gives us what want. Just tested with 8 Fast and 2 Chip, worked lovely,

Now im going to see if I can get HDD to work.

@Bladexsdl: The menu issues are known - as it says on the wiki page the menu is only partially implemented. In time it should be implemented.

Wintermute knows about the _gettimeofday_r problem, and it will be fixed in a future (hopefully not that distant) version of devkitPPC. With that, UAE should compile out of the box (and perhaps also be a bit faster thanks to the new GCC)

can you make it so you can map keys to buttons in the menu like the c64 emu?

Im sure that will come, but in the meantime, edit the config file.

Need to talk to simon first, dont want to step on his toes.
