It definitely looks like one - unless the timing is off between the embedded video and the person playing, the embedded video was taken before the other one was. For Mario to do the star spin, you need to shake the remote, right? Look at the first time he does the Spin - he doesn't shake either remote, and then fumbles afterwards to shake it on time. Then there are a few times after that Mario spins that he doesn't shake the remote. Or it could just be a very poor tech demo.
