The last two days this forum has been on fire!
Sadly for people like me who haven't b hanging around here to much, things are pretty confusing so say the least.

So what will be the actual difference between these two solutions? Cause people are sending fire at each other for buying/not buying the TX SX and not waiting for Atmosphere.

And I have no idea what to do where to buy my own switch?

-where should I buy it to get a low firmware?

-does it even matter anymore? I mean how many are still on 1.0.0?

-is atmosphere better just because it'
"free"? It doesn't
even support backups, people just assume someone will make a stable fork of it. That might take a long time?

-will SX TX support homebrew apps?

-what are the negatives with buying TX SX now for me who wants to play backups? Will there be a better option? Coldboot?

Thnx in advance!

People typically debate facts.
The facts are neither option has been released.
Stating anything else would simply be conjecture.

Yes, i really love to read more than 1000 dumb/mostly offtopic messages, just to find one informative...
Wasting time is great.... isn't it?

Just to answer the OP (again):
We don't know yet. Planned release for TX is the 15th of June.
Atmosphere maybe some time before.

All your questions will be answered wenn both products are finished.

Now i've got nothing more to say. Bye!

I'd say atmosphere, for two reasons:
One, it's free.
Two, it's not made by team xecuter, all they care about is piracy.
I just want to run emulators and play media files on my Switch.
For anyone who buys the modchip or their OS, I will automatically assume you did it specifically for piracy purposes.
Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy 1/2 portably is my top priority, tbh!

Would the acquiring of isos such as the ones you've mentioned not be considered piracy? According to some, unless you specifically wait for isolated VC titles, this is considered to be the same. You could always argue that they are backups of games you have legally owned in the past, but do you think everyone would go by that mantra? I'm just trying to find where the official line is drawn on piracy.

Super Mario 64 - ROM ripped from the Wii Virtual Console release I legally purchased with 1000 Wii points in 2009.
Super Mario Sunshine, Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2 - Discs I legally purchased from retailers ripped via Cleanrip on Wii.

I bought the pro kit. Not only for piracy, which theres no games i want to pirate since I own all the games i've wanted so far, But also for access to two custom firmware options. gonna run TX and Atmosphere side by side if possible. Use both and compare them to see what one is better. Just because atmosphere is free does not mean it will be better. Same goes for TX being a paid option. As long as they both support custom boot logos, I'll be more than happy.
