My SX pro dongle stopped working because it developed leaking capacitors, I replaced them with ones from eBay. Now it's back to working great!

Woah! Never expected that to happen! Hope your capacitors don't leak again!

Sadly I think you would have to replace the capacitors, as that's what mine did before it failed.

These are the capacitors I bought: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/182890676357

Pay attention to the polarity, there's -/+ that you have to match.

Wow I can't believe caps are already leaking on these. They musta used some real cheapos. I've actually been contemplating wiring mine up internally, since it doesn't look like anything better is coming soon.

If the charge/discharge rates are fast enough it might be less cheapo cap and more cap being used outside spec (and paralleling up a couple, presumably for the voltage limit boost, and in turn using that to power something is slightly outside what most people normally do*) and cooking itself.

*though not necessarily a bad thing as this is presumably not the sort of device that would do well with a rechargeable battery, especially not a lithium one.
